Richard's Pedal Kayak

This is my pedal kayak.
It is a modified Current Designs expedition kayak, with a Spin Fin unit from Bob Stuart.

While it's fiddly to set up, once set it's FAST!  I can hit 15kph while  fully loaded with gear for touring.  Mostly, it cruises effortlessly at speeds that are hard to paddle at.



Here's something you don't see every day.  I admit that my skier, my friend Lauren Ball, is only 22kg.




This is a view of the cockpit set up for paddling.  The large cockpit cover fits on, and it has a regular opening for a normal kayak skirt.
