Dental
Insurance:
If you have dental insurance,
we are more than happy to assist you with your dental claim. However,
please bear in mind that you are responsible for payment of your
account, not your insurance company. Your insurance company will
reimburse you directly. Some insurance companies allow us to file your
claim electronically and will reimburse you quickly. Others require
claim forms to be filled out and mailed in. We are happy to assist you
with either format.
Dental benefits vary from
company to company, and from policy to policy. At times
these can be very confusing. For any extensive dental treatment plan,
we can submit a pre-determination to determine what compensation you
may receive from your insurance company. We can also arrange a payment
plan for major dentistry if needed. Please note that not all techniques
and procedures are covered by insurance companies. They do not always
cover the latest and most advanced procedures, which we do in our
office.
Financial
Policy:
Our Office Policy regarding
accounts is that (unless prior arrangements are made) payment is due
upon date of service. For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard,
Interac, and personal cheques as payment forms. Even with all our
advanced technology, high environmental standards, and personlized
service, 98% of our fees are within current Ontario Dental Association
fee guide. A few of our procedures may be 5-10% above the current
guide. If you are available on short notice to fill a cancellation
slot, you may qualify for a "stand-by" discount.
Timing
and Appointments, and Emergencies:
We pride ourselves on being
on time. We take a lot of time with our patients, talk with them, and
ensure that they are comfortable. We do not double book, or over book.
For this reason, we may not be able to see a patient if they are more
than 15 minutes late for an appointment. Sorry, but we are unable to
accept walk-in emergencies, in order to be fair to our scheduled
patients. During business hours, existing
patients with dental emergencies may call our office at 905-880-7003
for assistance and will be seen promptly.
Please note that if you
cannot keep your appointment, 48 hours cancellation notice is
appreciated so that we may give the time slot to an emergency patient,
or one on our waiting list.
